This morning I stopped by British footwear designer Nicholas Kirkwood‘s preview of his shoe collection. It was in some undercover building, luckily near my apartment… So I had enough time to chug a noisette (espresso with a dash of milk) caress the shoes, walk home
depressed, change into a more casual attire, make it to French class, and than visit La Caféothèque for a David Lebovitz approved cappuccino. Cute coffee place, chill ambiance, no wifi, 5 euro cappuccino…although it did come with a mini square of dark chocolate, which is always a plus because than I don’t have to go on a chocoholic run to buy one piece, and have an awkward encounter where the person wants to sell me by the kg and blah blah. Because then.. I go for the whole bar of the Cote d’Or noir with hazelnuts and we do not all live happily ever after.
Despite the 5 euro cappuccino (most cappuccino’s in Paris are at least 4 euros- which is why I had to switch to the bitter noisette…) I definitely recommend checking out this coffee shop. You can also shop for coffee beans here, there is a large variety of flavors.
Now please take a moment to stare at those shoes again.
