Beauty secrets just in time for summer!
Being blessed with good genes was part one. But maintaining the lifestyle and beauty of Nell Rebowe takes a few tricks of the trade. And luckily, I got the scoop to keep you all in the know just in time for summer!
One thing you can’t leave home without?
Aside from moisturizer…mascara
Number one beauty essential?
Dr. Alkaitis travel pack. It lasts about 3-4 weeks and comes with me on all my trips.
Hair care necessities?
A good diet is important; healthy foods and omega 3′s are fundamental. I don’t wash or brush my hair everyday. I don’t color or treat it when I don’t have to. I use phytorhum and egg yolk shampoo and change up my conditioner. I also try not to use the dryer or any heat as much as I can…
Fave NYC hangouts?
I like to go to lots of museums. I’m a member of the MoMa, love the Neue Gallery, The Frick, the parks and the high line.
Diet and exercise regimen?
I eat vegetables everyday. But I also eat chocolate everyday… I don’t deprive myself of anything; I’m genetically thin. I don’t go to the gym but I definitely walk more than I take taxis. I call my routine an “urban workout,” I utilize the city by walking around all day and I’m always on my feet!
How do you unwind after a long day?
Read a good book, go on a walk and have a nice meal.
All time favorite reads?
Music for chameleons, The Bell Jar, The Sun also Rises, and The Beautiful and the Damned.
Music that puts you in a party mood?
Anything 70′s inspired, CCR, Rolling Stones… But I can also be a little top 40 and love a good Madonna!
Any other products we should invest in?
Homeoplasmine balm- I use it as lip balm and apply it to the inside of my nose with a Qtip when I travel (keeps the germs away), and embryolisse is my go to facial cream.
