Confession: I am a cookie monster. I would rather eat Crest toothpaste than have one bite of a cookie because I’m an all or nothing kind of gal (did I just say the word “gal”? That’s awkward).
Like let me hit up that fat chunk of cake, or hand over the fruit salad because I’m not about to be like, “Oh, I just want one bite.” No. I don’t know. I was doing a competition with myself this month. Yes, me against mua. I wanted to see how long I could last without sugar. I’m a chocolate freak. A square or two or the Dove dark chocolates do the trick after a meal (stop judging, they are 40 cals a pop). But today, my mother and I were on a cookie quest. We needed something exciting to take as dessert for a dinner tonight. Long story short(er), we ended up at Crumb on Parchment. The cookie was…not normal. Monstrous slabs of milk chocolate smothered and scattered throughout a warm, baked to perfection cookie. Unreal. Go. Get. It.
Oh, this may not be half as exciting but certainly worth a mention…the kale salad was delicious. Wait, so was the caramel bread pudding (also part of the dessert operation). Gooey and caramel loaded.
For some peculiar reason, Crumb on Parchment does not have a website, but I can give you a little breakdown. They have a breakfast menu with morning treats like egg sandwiches, yogurt and granola, and fruit platters. Lunch is all about those sandwiches and salads with all walks of life (turkey, roast beef, tuna, bacon) ya tu sabes. My kale salad had some parm, craisins, sunflower seeds and apples with a lemon vinaigrette. All meals from $7-$10.
Final win: they have almond milk. That is all.
