…boredom, hungry friends, lemons, limes, basil, mini cucumbers, bomb inspiration from Food&Wine mag, and a blender, make basil cucumber lemonade. Life actually made us (Danielle and I) linger at Fresh Market for quite some time…it didn’t exactly just hand us the tree of basil we purchased. Or you can be that person and drink that gnarly pre-made sugary Simply Lemonade thing, whatev. I ain’t judging. Well, maybe a little.
What was that? I have too much time on my hands? Sunday baby. Everybody knows…don’t call me on a Sunday, I dive into hibernation mode. Yes, all day.
I had to throw the Food&Wine in my shoot because I happen to be a bit obsessed with this magazine AND…there was a whole feature on the “Wisconsin Food Fraternity,” which obviously makes me 100x more enthusiastic and proud to be a badger than any football game win. (Don’t tell anyone I still don’t understand how the game works/really hate sports).
Make it. Serving size: for 2 ladies with hefty appetites.
- 1.5 cups of water
- 1 mini cucumber (ugh, forgot to use the rest as the garnish as intended)
- 2 lemons
- 2.5 limes
- 5 packets of Stevia
- 2 cups of ice
Blend. Garnish with basil. You can also blend it inside–as you please. Don’t forget the mason jars and striped straws, it just won’t taste the same without them.
