I haven’t posted any wearables lately because I think I’ve been pretty fixated on all things inhalable (oops, that’s not a word). I don’t think that’s necessarily a bad thing, but since variety is the sriracha of our existence…here you go! A little summer inspiration never does any harm.
I love them. A restaurant with good food is one thing. But the marriage between a restaurant and a perfect store is my calling.
Merci was a 3-story shop with every odd and end you can think of. Literally.
From brooms to Aesop creams to Isabel Marant…merci beaucoup for covering the entire spectrum.
Oh, and my lentil and string bean salad was quite fab (10 euros), my ginger lemonade was a disappointment… but the store makes up for it.
They have two restaurants next door to each other.
Next up. The Broken Arm.
Breathtaking store, two floors. Nice selection of Kenzo, Carven, cool books, nice jewelry, Raf Simmons and more.
And than the food…stunning. Slightly overpriced but it was too beautiful to pass up. And I’ve learned not to convert the euro to the dollar anymore because…just because.
Sammy and I shared both the swordfish tartar with yuzu mousse, artichoke and olive oil from Sicily (15 euros)…so fresh and lemony. And the beet carpaccio with berries and apple whipped cream (11 euros.) FYI- they post the daily menu on their Facebook page.
Oh, and a chocolate chip cookie
monster because it was making profound eye contact with me the whole time so I felt bad to neglect it. I had half in case you were wondering. Only because Sammy ate the other half… Oh. Make sure you go to the bathroom here. Best Aesop scrub soap ever. Menu from 8-15 euros, but there are beautiful fresh juices and coffee if you just wanna stop by and check it out. Which you should.
Merci, 111 Boulevard Beaumarchais, 73003
The Broken Arm, 12 rue Perrée, 75003
A dash of color goes a long way. You could be sporting a monotonous outfit, and a vibrant clutch will instantly brighten your look. Check out these not-so-subtle alternatives to rescue your style on a gloomy day.
The fact that the assortment resembles a palette of Swedish Fish and Sour Patch is already a mood-booster…

I don’t know what’s happening on your side of town, but this pneumonia-status weather in Paris is making my hungry for some spring florals. There’s something about these Kenzo leopard vans that tell me I might have to buy myself a going away gift, or five, before leaving this country. The Iro jacket is a work of art that would make a stunning ornamentation in a glass case on my bare walls, or obviously a fabulous statement piece for any wardrobe. The scarf screams mixed berry mojito to me somehow, and I’m always down for a nice plumping cocktail…even when it’s 35 degrees out.
